The Geodesic Direct Democratic Network -Details of Specific Procedures
Note: These procedures are tentative insomuch that the Geodemocracy in it's living development may well have to alter them to fit legal and practical conditions. Nothing designed by a single human mind can fully encompass the reality of actual conditions. We do not know what we do not know exists.
Random Selection Process:
The General Archives Program will designate all member's I-teams, select I-teams with special functions, like the oversight I-teams for the General Archives, and select the new I-teams of those rejected by their I-teams or wishing to transfer to new I-teams. Once a year, the Random Selection Program will reshuffle all members into new I-teams. This computer program will be isolated from the rest of the General Archives and use an encoded configuration file containing all the names of members, their locations, and their Geonet related financial information to generate local and larger links that reflects the geographic locations of members in the overall assignments.
Alerts:
Alerts can be called by any I-team to glitches in the system, errant behavior of members in terms of Geonet related financial or behavioral misconduct. An alert will go out to all the I-teams, with full data attached, to the O-Group level of a member or higher levels of resolution upon suspicion of I-team or other sized levels of misconduct or mistake. An Alert takes precedence over all other business, becoming the Mode Subject of the I-Teams involved in investigating the misconduct.
Reshuffling
Once a year, right after the annual Audit, the Geonet is randomly Reshuffled.
Each member is reassigned to new I-Teams, usually in their local area. The
constraints on this Reshuffling are that, as first priority, the I-Teams the
member links after the Reshuffling are within 100 miles of their living area.
The I-Team accounts are reshuffled with the member, to reflect his/her new
connection. If the I-Teams in a given area are not sufficient for a successful
reshuffle, then the members can be shuffled into Link positions where one
I-Team is local and the other is remote. Reshuffling occurs on the O-Node
level only. It is not necessary to make sure all the members are in I-Teams
with totally different members, but that as few as possible members in the new
I-Teams are the same as the year before. Since the Live Meetings have set
times, and these times are the same for all I-Teams across a time zone, and
because almost all meetings are networked electronically, only those who will
be assigned to link I-Teams across time zones need be consulted as to the
convenience of their new assignments, and given an opportunity to get reassigned
to more convenient I-Teams within their time zone if required.
